WE18’s theme, Let’s Break Boundaries, was firmly rooted in the notion that all women engineers are continually breaking boundaries both personally and for women across the globe.

The conference itself broke boundaries by being the largest gathering of women engineers across all major engineering disciplines but for CSUN SWE, it was the largest group of engineers the chapter ever sent!

Seventeen of CSUN's finest - engineers, physicists, and computer scientists alike - flew into the capital of Minnesota, determined to make their mark.

I attended seminars on how to speak with intention, on technology and public policy, as well as how to engage men as advocates for gender inclusivity. What I really loved was that each session offered solutions and practical advice for attendees to implement on an individual level and within their organizations.
